AMBULANCE TRANSFER: The Ponca City Fire Department provides ambulance service for emergency calls and routine transfers. For more information call 767-0368 for emergencies call 911.

CABLE SERVICES: Cable One TV, located at 303 N. 4th St., provides cable television services for Ponca City. Call 762-6684.

CHAMBER OF COMMERCE: The Chamber's purpose is to "Serve as the business community's catalyst for leading the Ponca City area into a growing, diversified and prosperous future". Call 765-4400.

DRIVERS LICENSE: The State of Oklahoma operates an office located in the Ponca Plaza. For more information call 762-1728.

VEHICLE REGISTRATION: Area residents may obtain motor vehicle registrations, license plates, and trailer licenses at the Oklahoma State License Tag Agency, located at 2101 N. 14th, in the Ponca Plaza. The office is open Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Thursdays until 6:00 p.m. For more information call 765-8711.

GAS SERVICES: The Oklahoma Natural Gas Company, provides gas service for the Ponca City area. Call (800) 664-5463.

UTILITY SERVICES: The Ponca City Utility Authority provides electric, water, wastewater and solid waste service for residences and businesses in the Ponca City Area. The billing office, located at 516 E. Grand Avenue, is open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Please call 767-0311 for billing inquires and hook=ups. Call 767-0405 for service problems.

TRASH COLLECTION: Trash collection for residents is included automatically on residents' Ponca City Authority bills. Residential service includes pick-up twice a week of 35-gallon cans (not to exceed 75 lbs. each). Grass clippings are not considered normal refuse for pick-up service. Carryout and special pick-up services are available. For more information call 767-0411.

TELEPHONE INSTALLATION: AT&T provides local telephone services for the Ponca City area. To obtain service, call 1-800-464-7928.

VOTER REGISTRATION: Residents may register to vote at the Oklahoma State License Tag Agency of Kay County, which is located at 2101 N. 14th Street, in the Ponca Plaza. Mail-in forms are available at the Ponca City Library.

SCHOOL REGISTRATION: The Ponca City Board of Education is located at 111 W. Grand. For more information on enrollment call 767-8000.

The Pioneer Technology Center is located at 2101 N. Ash and can be reached at 762-8336.

Northern Oklahoma College is locate at 1220 E. Grand in Tonkawa and can be reached at (580)628-6200.

The University Center at Ponca City (UC) is a higher education learning site that brings college degree programs from the other institutions to Ponca City. UC provides Bachelor and higher degrees from prestigious universities such as Oklahoma State University, the University of Oklahoma, and Northwestern Oklahoma State University.

UC is located at 1005 S. Pine and can be reached at 762-2856.

POST OFFICE: The United States Post Office has a Ponca City branch located at 402 E. Grand Avenue and can be reached at 762-2485.

RECYCLING SERVICES: The City of Ponca City encourages recycling and will accept most recyclable materials, except for used oil, anti-freeze, and plastic. The Recycling Center is open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday, is located at 1001 W. Prospect, and can be reached at 767-0458.

HEALTH CARE: Ponca City Medical Center, located at 1900 N. 14th Street, offers a variety of services including home health care, outpatient surgery unit, 24 hour emergency department/poison control center, nutrition directions, birthing rooms, diagnostic imaging, cardiac rehabilitation, laser & laparoscopic surgery, speech & physical rehabilitation and behavioral medicine.
